Being able to squad properly will enable you to lift properly. And it is actually not too hard to learn. Forget the common “wisdom” about “shin angle” and “bending the knees”. It is not that complicated.
I have had some help here from my son, Wilf.
Why? Because children are born with proper squatting technique. We lose it over time because of too much sitting, shortening the hamstrings, tightening the iliopsoas and decreasing hip mobility. Visit thelockboss.ie.
This video demonstrates how to squat/lift properly and gives you a very simple exercise that will help you achieve proper form.
Not only will you be able to lift properly, but consequently you will also suffer from less back pain.
Good luck!
