It can be daunting taking that first step and arranging your initial chiropractic appointment. During your initial meeting with us, your chiropractor will find out more details about your condition and medical history, and will listen to any ‘confidential’ points you might share about your symptoms, as well as any concerns you have.

This part of the initial consultation is completely free. If for whatever reason we decide that your condition wouldn’t be aided from our treatments, we will provide you with details of a suitable local health-care professional, specialising in your condition.

If, after the initial chat, we decide that chiropractic care is right for you, we will start the physical examination, with your permission of course. For this examination you will be asked to undress to your underwear and a gown will be provided to you. We will then undertake a complete, professional examination, including checking nerves, muscles and joints. For this full examination, the scan and the initial treatment you will be charged just £60.

It may seem to you that parts of the examination are irrelevant to your complaint, but often we need to examine other systems in your body like your blood pressure, heart, lungs or abdomen. This is to make sure that your complaint can be aided by chiropractic treatment.

It might be that we use a state of the art scanner and provide you with a scanned image of your spine, displaying the possible vulnerability your condition gives you. These scans are non-invasive and completely pain-free, but help us determine the best treatment plan and the quickest way to get results.

After this first examination, we will give you a clear assessment of what we have found in simple, easy-to-follow terms. We will use the aid of models and pictures. From this you will discover what the reasons are for your discomfort as well as any possible underlying causes. After this we will also explain what the best treatment plan for you would look like, and the kind of treatment we feel would be most effective. If you and the staff are happy with the results and feel comfortable continuing, then we will begin with the treatment.

After several weeks of treatment, we will monitor any progress by performing another scan at no additional cost. We will also conduct the initial tests again to check that your spinal health and mobility has improved.
